1 – Greece

This August I went on a trip to the beautiful country of Greece. It was my very first time visiting and I completely fell in love with the food, landscape and people. You can read about my trip to Greece here and here. The quote that summed up my trip would be “It takes a lifetime for someone to discover Greece, but it only takes an instant to fall in love with her” – Henry Miller.

2 – Black Backpack

Although August is one of the best months, everyone knows that at the end of it the normal cycle of college or work resumes. This year, to get myself back into work mode, I have bought a black backpack in a faux leather material that has a really nice minimalistic look from Zara. I love how it has two pockets and will literally go with any outfit that I’m wearing!

3 – Mornings in Jenin by Susan Abulhawa

On holiday I usually opt for a light and easy book I can dip in and out of in-between pool time, exploring time and eating time! This year the first book I read was slightly out of my normal holiday book ‘type’. Mornings in Jenin is a completely thought provoking book, that everyone should read. It’s the story of a Palestinian family, that goes through many generations, and how their lives have changed  – just a warning: you may shed a few tears while devouring this book.

4 – Overhead at LeLabo

This is an Instagram account that will make you laugh every time it pops into your feed – and lets face it, who would want that?! It’s an account of quotes that people have spoken in LeLabo stores around the world.

5 – Green Smoothies

The best possible way to start a day. Mine has kiwi, lime, matcha, wheatgrass and flax seeds in and tastes delicious. It will make you feel energised and will certainly wake you up!
